HOLLOW MATS

• Hollow Mats are available in 1.5x1 metre at 20mm and 23mm thick. Plus a variety of sizes in Workstation Mats.
• 23mm Hollow Mats are RAPRA tested to a 3.3 metre Critical Fall Height.

Hollow mats are excellent in gateways where severe puddling can occur. Horses and other animals can traffic these areas. They help to prevent mud fever as they overcome the normal sinking and muddy legs associated with gateways or overpoached surfaces.

When reseeded the grass roots colonise the mats to give a solid base that can be used over and over without horses sinking knee deep.

Pins and fixings are available to secure the mats but we find bag/cable ties work as well.

 

 

 MATBOND & Q/FLEX

MATBOND

MATS HAVE PROVED TO BE OF GREAT BENEFIT IN STABLES AND WALKERS ETC., BUT THE MAIN DRAWBACK HAS BEEN THE PROBLEMS WITH URINE PENETRATING THE JOINTS AND SEEPING UNDERNEATH RESULTING IN A STRONG UNPLEASANT AMMONIA SMELL. THE MATS ARE HEAVY TO LIFT AND IT IS A NASTY JOB TO REMOVE THEM TO DISINFECT UNDERNEATH.

QUATTRO HAS OVERC0ME THIS PROBLEM WITH MATBOND A SPECIALLY FORMULATED RESIN THAT NOT ONLY BONDS PERMANENTLY BUT FOAMS AND FILLS THE JOINTS AND GAPS. FURTHER ADHESIVE CAN BE ADDED TO ENSURE A COMPLETE SEAL.

MATBOND WILL SEAL ALL BUT THE MOST SEVERE JOINTS, BUT WHERE LARGER GAPS OCCUR THEY CAN BE FILLED BY USING THE SPECIAL KITS OF FLEXSCREED. THIS CAN BE TROWELLED INTO THE JOINTS THUS ENSURING A SEALED HYGIENIC SURFACE.

MATBOND IS EASY TO USE, THERE IS NO MIXING, THE PRODUCT CAN BE APPLIED BY ROLLER OR BRUSH WITH THE MAT BEING PLACED ON TOP. SOME WEIGHT MAY BE REQUIRED WHEN COVERING UNEVEN SURFACES.

MATBOND IS SUPPLIED IN 5, 10 AND 25 KILO UNITS.

 

Q/FLEX

A LONG TERM COMPOUND FOR ALL TYPES OF JOINTING WORK.

It is a single pack urethane joint sealant that gives high flexibility and resistance to ageing. A high degree of chemical resistance makes Q/FLEX ideal for panel joints in silage pits and effluent tanks.
